Discuss the importance of audience analysis and audience adaptation in the speech development process. Also, discuss how YOU plan on using audience analysis in your speech.
Audience analysis and audience adaptation in the speech development process is very important. Audience analysis is getting information about your audience and forming your speech around them. Audience adaptation is delivering your speech to a diverse crowd and narrowing down to that specific audience. It is very important to be able to relate to your crowd. In order to get positive feedback the audience must be able to understand what you are saying. If your topic or the way you give your speech has nothing to do with your audience then you will have many people dazing off, not paying attention to what you are saying. I plan to use this process in my speech by having a very good, attention getter opening statement. The opening statement, if interesting, will keep the audience hooked from the beginning. I know that my audience will be young adults, majority around my age, so I know how to talk and what I should do during my speech. This will be easy, because I know what would interest me, so I can tell how to captivate my audience’s attention. This is very vital when giving speeches. You must know who your audience will consist of before you give your speech so that you will have a very successful presentation.

Yeah you are right about the opening statement I think I might start my speech off with an interactive q&a to get the audience's attention then go into my speech, I agree that usually when a speech starts off interesting i am more likely to pay attention to what is being said.
I agree with what you said about adapting to your audience or else they get bored and doze off. It is really important to make sure that your audience feels engaged. You should form your speech according to the demographic of you audience. For example, if i was giving a speech to teenagers, i'd make my presentation more entertaining and casual. If i were presenting to buisiness men, then i would be more formal and informative. I also like what you said about making your opening of your speech a hook. The easiest way to get an audience interested in what you are talking about is by giving a hook at the begining to reel them in. I usually ask a question or do a small skit to capture their attention. It helps if the hook is something that the crowd would really be interested in.
I agree that it's very important to relate to your class/ speech demographic. It's very important that you know who your talking to and how to relate to them. I really like how you discussed important attention-getter's. Your opening statement has to get the audience's attention and interest them in the rest of your speech. So it's good that your going to emphasize your opening statement! Without a clear and interesting opening statement your listeners WILL lose interest. Try and relate your opening statement to everyone, make it a fun fact or question that engages your listeners. By getting your listeners to think you've got them engaged and interested in your speech!
